Core checklist
Documents to prepare
Start with these core items, then use the supporting sections for evidence relevant to your circumstances and travel purpose.
- Completed and signed Form 14A (Application for an Entry Visa).
- One recent passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months and meeting published specifications.
- Clear passport biodata-page copy; passport valid for at least six months from entry into Singapore.
- Completed Form V39A Letter of Introduction from an eligible Singapore local contact, or an embassy-issued Letter of Introduction where accepted when no local contact is available.
- English translations of Hindi or other non-English documents, following the mission’s instructions.
Letter of Introduction
- Social visit contact: Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 or older with SingPass.
- Business visit contact: acting for a Singapore-registered business entity, using CorpPass where applicable.
- Form V39A completed and signed with accurate relationship and visit details.
- If no eligible contact exists, ask the relevant mission whether an embassy-issued Letter of Introduction is acceptable.
Useful supporting evidence
These may be requested by the agent, mission or immigration authority depending on the case.
- Cover letter explaining purpose and proposed dates.
- Proposed itinerary, accommodation and onward or return travel information.
- Employment and leave letter, business registration, or student enrolment evidence.
- Recent bank statements or other credible funds evidence.
- Previous passports and travel history where relevant.
If someone supports the trip
- Sponsor letter stating expenses or arrangements covered.
- Sponsor identity, immigration status where relevant and proof of relationship.
- Sponsor financial evidence if they will pay.
Children under 18
- Birth certificate showing parents’ names.
- Consent from any non-travelling parent or guardian, with identity documents.
- Custody, guardianship or adoption documents where relevant.
